Who can apply for the Innovation Sprint 2026? +
Innovation Sprint 2026 is open to teams from diverse backgrounds, including students, researchers, healthcare professionals, engineers, innovators, entrepreneurs, data scientists, environmental experts, and technology enthusiasts. Anyone passionate about solving healthcare, biomedical, environmental, or One Health challenges is encouraged to apply. Participants should demonstrate an understanding of the problem they aim to address and a commitment to developing impactful solutions.
What types of innovations are eligible? +
Eligible innovations may relate to:
  • Digital Health and Health Security
  • Biomedical and Healthcare Technologies
  • Diagnostics, Prevention, and Disease Management
  • Data-Driven Health Innovations
Both early-stage concepts and more advanced prototypes are welcome.
I already work with a team. Can they be involved? +
Absolutely. Innovation Sprint encourages team participation. Existing teams are welcome to apply together, provided all team members are registered participants. Multidisciplinary teams are especially encouraged, as complex healthcare challenges often benefit from diverse expertise.
Can I submit more than one idea or challenge? +
Yes. Participants may submit more than one idea or unmet need. However, each submission should be distinct and clearly defined. During the selection process, organizers may request that participants focus on the idea with the strongest impact potential or alignment with the event objectives.
Will the organizers take equity in my innovation? +
No. Participation in Innovation Sprint 2026 does not require participants to give up equity in their ideas, projects, or startups. The event is designed to accelerate innovation, collaboration, and problem-solving rather than acquire ownership of participant ventures.
Is the application process confidential? +
Yes. All applications and supporting materials will be treated with appropriate confidentiality and reviewed only by authorized members of the evaluation team. Participants should share enough information to explain their idea while avoiding disclosure of highly sensitive proprietary details if they have concerns regarding intellectual property.
How will intellectual property (IP) be handled? +
Participants retain ownership of any intellectual property they bring to or develop during the Innovation Sprint. By participating, teams may present their ideas to judges, mentors, and fellow participants, but ownership remains with the creators. If participants choose to collaborate with external partners after the event, any future IP arrangements will be determined separately by the parties involved.
When and where will Innovation Sprint 2026 take place? +
Innovation Sprint 2026 will be held on 29–30 October 2026 in Islamabad, Pakistan as part of the FHCC 2026 initiative. The event is designed as an immersive innovation experience focused on developing impactful solutions for healthcare, biological sciences, and sustainability challenges.
Is Innovation Sprint just a hackathon? +
No. Innovation Sprint is more than a traditional hackathon. It combines innovation, scientific problem-solving, mentorship, networking, and collaborative team development. The focus is on creating meaningful, real-world solutions that address challenges across human, animal, and environmental health through the One Health approach.
