Workshop Overview

Healthcare has a major role to play in both climate impact and climate action. However, knowing where to begin can often feel overwhelming. This interactive workshop, “We All Care, But Where to Start? Making Sense of Sustainability Actions in Health Facilities”, is designed to bridge the gap between intent and meaningful action while considering key drivers such as policy, risk management, and skills.

Hosted by Aga Khan University, the workshop is intended for hospital leadership, operational teams, and researchers interested in understanding and advancing sustainability within healthcare facilities.

Participants will explore the critical climate-health nexus, develop foundational understanding of carbon accounting, and work collaboratively on practical and realistic ideas for sustainability action within healthcare settings. The workshop aims to help participants translate shared concern into practical first steps toward developing a sustainability roadmap for their respective facilities and departments.
