Basic Concept of Workshop

A two-day Hands-on Workshop on Laboratory Animal Handling & Experimental Techniques is proposed to provide participants with fundamental knowledge and practical skills in the ethical care, handling, and use of laboratory animals (rats & mice) in biomedical research. The workshop will focus on internationally accepted guidelines for animal welfare, biosafety, and good laboratory practices.

Participants will receive practical training in animal restraint, dosing techniques, sample collection, anesthesia, euthanasia methods, and basic experimental procedures/models commonly used in preclinical research. The workshop is designed to enhance technical competency, promote humane experimental practices, and strengthen research quality among students, researchers, and healthcare professionals.

The workshop will include expert lectures, live demonstrations, and supervised hands-on sessions to ensure effective learning and skill development in laboratory animal sciences.
