Biography

Dr. Jasim Anwar is a distinguished development expert, applied scientist and strategic policy advisor with multidisciplinary expertise spanning public policy, strategic planning, human capital development, sustainable development, information systems and civil registration. His academic journey includes an MBBS degree, a Master of Applied Science from the University of Sydney and a PhD from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), Sydney, Australia.

He has further enhanced his professional expertise through prestigious international training fellowships and executive programs at Harvard University, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Atlanta, and the National Center for Health Statistics (NCHS), United States. These experiences have strengthened his capacity in evidence-based policymaking, institutional development and public sector transformation.

Throughout his professional career, Dr. Anwar has worked extensively in both the public and private sectors, contributing to organizational leadership, operational excellence and strategic management. His corporate experience includes senior leadership positions with globally recognized logistics and supply chain organizations, where he served in operational leadership and management roles overseeing large-scale operations and organizational performance.
